Henry Taylor

I started in motor racing in 1996 entering the Elf Fast Track competition at Silverstone, being runner up in the final having never competed in anything before encouraged me to carry on.

I then moved into the Peugeot 306 GTI Championship taking pole position for my first ever race and then going on to win it. I then won 9 consecutive races claiming the Peugeot GTI championship. Peugeot were so impressed with me that I had a test in 406 BTCC car at Silverstone lapping quicker than their regular works driver.

I then moved in Ford Credit Fiesta Championship running the car ourselves was certainly a disadvantage to the works teams but even still we managed to mix it with them all season and finishing a respectable second in the junior series. I stayed in the Fiesta championship for another season due to funding problems.
